April 19-April 25, 2021 Hello
April 19-April 25, 2021
Hello Dear CDA Sisters,
Your convention attendees are safely home. I hope you enjoyed all the pics! Much business was conducted, and our new State Officers were elected. I will compile a report and send it out before I leave for New Jersey on May 4th.
We have our monthly meeting this Thursday and I have, again, attached the March minutes and Treasurer’s Report for review.
We will say farewell to our Pastoral Year Seminarian, Cesar Garcia, this Thursday. If you wish to bring a card or note of encouragement, we will have a basket in which to place them.
Our speaker will be Deacon Peter Raad who will be giving us a talk on the “longer-term effect the Resurrection is to have on our lives”. If you have ever heard Deacon speak, you know he will be very informative. Please make plans to attend. Reach out to those members who you know will need a ride. (The talk will be videoed and uploaded to our website for future viewing.)
Seminarian News: Eugene Udemba will be graduating from Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans on May 13th with a Master of Arts in Theology. If you would like to send a Graduation greeting, his address is:
Eugene Udemba
Notre Dame Seminary
2901 South Carrollton Ave.
New Orleans, LA, 70118
Eugene will be returning to Dallas on May 20th and he has our meeting of 5/27 on his calendar. We will welcome him home and hear about his priestly formation journey thus far. He assures me that his mother, Pauline, is well in Nigeria. Please continue to pray for her!
Please also pray for wisdom for his summer Spanish intensive assignment and for his next two years here in Dallas before Ordination in 2023. He will be on the same schedule as Cesar for the Diaconate and Priestly Ordinations. It will be good to have Eugene nearby as we will be able to visit more as his schedule allows.
First Friday Holy Hour will be May 7th at 1pm in the Church.
We hope to see many of you on Thursday and as always, if there are any needs, please reach out to your Officers or Buddy.
Take care and God Bless,
Isabel Campbell ~Regent~
