How will you respond if you’re called by name?
6 Come, let us bow down in worship,
Psalm 95:6-8
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
7 for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.
Today, if only you would hear his voice,
8 “Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah,
as you did that day at Massah in the wilderness,
9 where your ancestors tested me;
How will you respond if God calls your name? Will you answer or run away? I believe this is a call to service! Traditionally, Lent has been a time of sacrifice. However, what if we switch it up and make it a time to answer Gods call to serve our fellow humans? We can serve not only with just material needs, but spiritual needs as well. Reach out to someone and ask what you can do for them. But be warned- people can be prideful. If they say nothing, do not push. Offer to pray for them and let them know you will be of service to them if needed. Be a blessing to someone by being of service!
