January 11-17, 2020 Hello Dear
January 11-17, 2020
Hello Dear CDA Sisters,
A quick update for events this week:
Holy Hour this Friday at 1pm. We will sit in the pews by the choir. We will begin at 1pm and remain until 2pm.
It has been noted that some members leave after the written prayers are finished. Yes, our program of prayers have been said, but then there is time for private prayer for the remainder of the hour. Let all of us who are present give our Lord the full hour he asked for from his Apostles;
Matthew 26:40 Then he returned to the disciples and found them asleep. He said to Peter, “Couldn’t you watch with me even one hour?
UPDATED*******Per Melissa Franks: “the lower lounge is reserved for you on the fourth Thursday of each month beginning on Jan 28…“ {I just checked the church calendar and we do not have a time scheduled for our meetings yet. Let us pray that we can be put on the schedule.}
January Birthdays are Irene Ammons and Jerrie Becan. A very Happy and Blessed Birthday to our Sisters.
Our Seminarian, Eugene, is back in New Orleans for a week retreat before the beginning of classes. I will get the recording of his journey to Karen Fields so she can put it on the website for all to watch. Continue to pray for him as he finishes classes this coming semester.
A number of us went to see Fr. Ryan at Christ the King this week for Mass. He spent some time afterwards visiting with us and gave us a blessing. We in turn gave him a blessing! It was good to see our former seminarian at his Parish and to hear the parishioners gathered praying for him, Fr. Wade and Fr. Tony during the Rosary before Mass. Fr. Ryan sends his greetings to all of us at Court St. Faustina.
Continue to be in touch with one another. Today we celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany and we are reminded of the Magi travelling far to see the newborn Christ child. May we always seek Him in our everyday lives.
Take care and God Bless!
