20 Years of serving God and the Parish of St. Monica’s Dallas

Court St. Faustina #2478 celebrated 20 years of serving the St. Monica Parish Community with a ceremony honoring founding members at our general meeting Wednesday October 14, 2020. There were ten founding members in attendance at the general meeting. They were given yellow roses, a chaplet made from purple glass beads, and serenaded with a violin rendition of Amazing Grace by Violinist Gayle Abbott.

To continue the celebration, The Court gathered for Mass Sunday October 18, 2020. Father Mark Garrett, our new Court Chaplain, officiated the Mass. After Mass, Father Mark blessed The Court and then we gathered for a group picture to commemorate the occasion.

Founded in October 2000, our Patroness is St. Faustina and we are devoted to The Divine Mercy. We have combined interest with the Junior Catholic Daughters. In addition to food donations to The Missionaries of Charity (St. Mother Theresa’s Sisters) and the Austin Street Shelter, we also sponsor Seminarians throughout the various stages of their journey. We hold Corporate Communions, Lenten Days of Reflection, and participate in social activities such as Game Day and at local venues such as the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA). We currently meet once month (days will vary based on pandemic protocols).
