Dear CDA Sisters,
We had our Tamale Pre-Sales and we are halfway to our budgeted goal of $4,000 in sales. Thank you to Connie Johnson and all the volunteers who worked all weekend at the church.
Our Holy Hour was well attended and we had a special visitor—Fr. Ryan Hiaeshutter! He and Fr. Mark were looking at the church after having lunch together when they ran into some ladies who were leaving—-Marilyn directed them into the sanctuary where some of us remained. Fr. Ryan visited with the ladies before he left. It was very nice to see Fr. Ryan.
Our Monthly meeting is this week on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 6:30 pm in the small gym. Bring a water bottle. Our speaker will be Fr. Paul who will talk about the Holy Souls.
We are also collecting items for the Missionaries of Charity in Oak Cliff. The items are listed here: Long grain rice, Pinto beans, Black beans, Vegetable Oil, All types of fresh fruit, Onions, Cabbage, Broccoli and small bags of sugar. One pound quantities would be best.
****There will be a Mass for Barbara Brummitt on Tuesday (11/10) morning at 8 AM. Christine wanted the membership to be aware.
There have been concerns about the Buddy System and we want you all to be aware that the buddies are to contact each other. Please do not wait for her to contact you—reach out to your buddy; we envisioned it to be a two-way communication! Put your Buddy’s phone number into your phone so you will recognize her calling you. Let us all make an effort to talk to our Buddies once before Thanksgiving!
