October 12-18, 2020

Hello St. Faustina Sisters!

Your Monday email is a little late this week—lots to get ready for the meeting. I have been chatting with many of our Charter members and it is so good to hear about the history of our court.

I did speak to Martha Smith and she is not going outside of her residence community; but, she may have visitors! Only one person at a time for one hour. 10am to 6pm. We cannot visit under the Catholic Daughters visitation, as it requires 2 persons, but I think we could visit as simply a friend!

We have a full agenda on Wednesday and we will spend our time honoring our Founding Members and their service to our Court and to the Catholic Daughters beyond St. Monica. We hope to have many in attendance. Please eat beforehand and bring a water bottle for yourself.

We will present the Resolution of Condolence to the Brummitt Family at the beginning of the meeting. We will also meet and chat with St. Monica’s Pastoral Year Seminarian, Cesar Garcia.

One bit of business that will need to be addressed and voted upon in November is the raising of our yearly dues. It has been eight years since dues were raised and the time has come for us to raise dues to help provide a cushion for our expenses. As you can see from the chart below, most of the $25 dues goes towards our fixed expenses from State and National. Any donations made to State/National CDA, Seminarian support and support here at St. Monica is funded by fundraising. We are proposing the dues for the 2021 year remain at $25.00 and those who are able to give a donation of $10.00 towards operating expenses are encouraged to do so.

In January of 2021, dues will go up to $35.00 per member. As always, we do not want the paying of dues to be a hardship to any member. We will work with our sisters on an individual and confidential manner. Please reach out to us!

That is all for this week! Your Officers look forward to seeing you at our Wednesday Meeting! Small Gym, 6:30pm Wear you mask!!

Love to all of you!!
